Important update":
No contest this year.
Hey everyone. After weighing our options pretty heavily it was decided that the Anything But Hollywood screenplay contest was going to take some time off to retool and plan for the future. We will not be accepting submissions for 2007 and those who have submitted already will be contacted and their payments returned to them. We’re sorry for not making this announcement sooner even if it’s one we’d been considering for some time.
In a lot of way Anything But Hollywood has been a huge success and has placed a lot of material in front of members of the industry. Unfortunately it’s grown in size with each year and it’s become overwhelming to coordinate with the limited resources available to us, which has resulted in unfortunate delays and not as much follow-through as we had hoped.
We’re incredibly proud of the work we’ve done over the years and continue to keep an eye on all the scripts that have come through our doors as they work their way through the system. The contest will likely be back at some point, although probably with a few changes to allow it to run more smoothly and efficiently.
We thank everyone who submitted to the contest over the past few years and all those who supported us in operating it.
Thanks
Anything But Hollywood Staff
